| Name: | The Painfully Self-Aware Neil Gaiman Stalker |
|---|---|
| Location: | California, United States |
| Website: | Neil Gaiman's Journal |
When I am asleep, Neil Gaiman stays awake Googling my name.
It started with little things. One day I would read his journal and see that he was talking about the same music I just happened to be listening to at that very moment. Odd but surely not a sign that a higher power was drawing an invisible line from Neil's consciousness to mine. Then a month or so later, I would happen to receive an email from a friend of his. There was a valid reason, of course, involving my line of work in relation to theirs, but still.... spooky. I wrote him an email once through his Ask Neil link. He posted my message and included a link to my site. Was he becoming aware of me? No, my logical mind said, he just wanted to pass along the information.
Over the months, the coincidences became less likely, but I managed to continue to convince myself that the internet has just made the world that much smaller.
***This is a mildly humorous blog by a totally harmless fan who has no violent or delusional tendencies but is just odd enough to pretend that she does. No intervention is necessary.
